Paul and Susan Bombardt K-12 Music Endowment

This permanent endowment was established by Paul and Sue Bombardt to benefit students in music education in Los Alamos Public Schools. The endowment fund supports:

• guest artists to provide demonstrations, classes and workshops;
• teachers' efforts to attract and retain music students throughout their education; and 
• student access to musical instruments. 

Since its inception the fund has provided or assisted with the purchase of instructor training, lectures and participation opportunities for students, and equipment/instrument purchase including a harp and several keyboards for the school district.

In 2023-24, the Bombardt Endowment will support:

• a visit to LAPS by American composer and conductor Soon Hee Newbold;
• clinicians to work with high school students prior to MPA and state competitions;
• performing groups to inspire participation in music in elementary schools; and
• purchase of soprano ukuleles for Barranca Mesa Elementary.
