Purple Pinky Polio Awareness

The Rotary Club of Los Alamos recently orchestrated an inspiring and educational event known as the Purple Pinky Project, aimed at raising awareness and funds for polio vaccinations globally. Held in local elementary schools, this event engaged children by educating them about polio, a disease that is on the brink of eradication thanks to global vaccination efforts. For a small donation, students had their pinkies dyed purple, mirroring the mark given to children vaccinated against polio in countries where the disease is still endemic.
