Founded in 1967 to provide cultural programs, visual and performing arts, and a variety of community activities to Los Alamos and our neighbors, the Los Alamos Arts Council is dedicated to uniting our community through the Arts. For nearly 60 years, we have provided arts education, gallery exhibit spaces for emerging and established artists, and community programming such as Kite Festival, Pumpkin Glow, Missoula Children's Theater, and a variety of concerts, performances and activities in and around the historic Fuller Lodge Art Center.

Each spring we host an annual Kite Festival to connect young and old alike with one of the oldest traditional art forms, kite making! Each summer we host a summer art camp to connect youth from 1st-12th grade with artists and teachers in a variety of mediums and activities from watercolors and crafts, to theater and creative writing. Every fall we bring the Community together while we turn squash into art at our annual Pumpkin Glow. And throughout the year we host monthly free daytime concerts, evening performances, fairs and festivals, and a variety of activities of all ages in our classrooms, gallery, and in Los Alamos County.
