Embudo Valley Tutoring Association

Embudo Valley Tutoring Association provides free academic tutoring and mentoring services to students in Rio Arriba and Taos Counties. Funds raised from Los Alamos Gives would be dedicated to Rio Arriba County service sites which are currently San Juan, Alcalde, Velarde, and Dixon Elementaries along with the Embudo Valley Library. 

EVTA takes a personalized approach to tutoring services, correlating its tutoring strategy to the individual student. Many students in Espanola School District are still struggling to recover from lost learning opportunities during the pandemic and are 1-2 grade levels behind in skills. EVTA assesses students to determine their areas of need and provides the support that allows them to grow and progress toward grade level.
